Catherine Campbell is a fiction writer, essayist, and book critic. Her writing appears in The New York Times, McSweeney's, Writer's Digest, The Millions, The Rumpus, Brain, Child Magazine, Kenyon Review, Ploughshares, and elsewhere.

She offers creative writing workshops in Asheville a few times per year. 

During the day, Catherine owns and operates Bright Planning, a marketing & PR agency for conscious brands. She earned her B.A. in Literature and Creative Writing at UNC-Asheville and her MFA in Creative Writing at Queens University. Catherine is a member of the National Book Critics Circle, Association of Writers and Writing Programs, and the North Carolina Writers Network. 

She was born and raised in the N.C. Appalachian Mountains. Catherine lives in Asheville, North Carolina with her son Thaddeus and her fiance, the writer Brandon Amico.

Catherine is at work on two novels and an essay collection.
